Apache's previous owner paid $40,000 for the privilege to select Apache's dam, Dulcinea, in addition to the actual purchase price, at the 1995 Peruvian 5 Star Import Sale. Considered the best fawn suri female to come off the Accoyo ranch, she conceived Apache in a breeding to another famous fawn, Accoyo Durazno. Apache has grown into the image of his sire, with large size, and solid bone and dense peach-colored locks. Apache has won Reserve Champion at the All American Futurity, and suri champion at the PNAA show.
